I am also going to open it and change catalityc converter as a lot of old exhaust doesnt have paladium, and all the other minerals.. I like brabus for its sound and perfect fit for that little turbo. I have not found any decent shinny exhaust that is good as brabus. However adding just a lambda sensor does not affect to exhaust functionallity..maybe you dont loose certification. However mine is 699cc.. so being strict.. certification is also not valid. But to be honest all these different variations are 100% external the same. They will even not look under the exhaust.

Eventually I cant buy the TYP 918... If someone has a brabus exhaust and has no problems of sending it to Madrid (spain) let me know. If its to old, I dont mine if it has no catalytic converter as I think I would add a new one.

You need to drill a hole in the exhaust, weld an M18x1.5 threaded bung, and then screw the lambda sensor in.

I have found a brabus exhaust but it looks so different to other brabus exhaust I have seen. Others had kt 0232 / 0233 / 0235 numbers and the tail looks different. In this one you can see through the tail. This one says TYP 918 E4 030529 T. NR. 500-600-01 1299 What exhaust is this? What does every number refers to? What year? What model? Will it fit directly? I see there is no lambda sensor. Has anyone add it? Is it possible? What about the catalityc converter? Can it be repared if it is not in good condition? Last picture is my fortwo :) Any help would be amazing!
